SERVICE CENTER

The Ledeberg Civil Administrative Center underwent a thorough renovation and refurbishment in order to meet the needs of the 21st century.  The previously unused attic had been completely converted into a functional area with plenty of daylight and a breathtaking view of Ledeberg. The building now comprises the local police station, a civil service office spaces, 4 multi-functional rooms available for the cultural department to manage, a theater, a foyer, a civil court and a civil marriage ceremony room.

Modern building services technology was integrated in the form of an “air-water” heat pump, together with a new ventilation unit equipped with heat recovery to ensure a pleasant indoor climate at all times. Modern technology was further applied in the rest of the building and integrated within the architectural context without compromising the historical context.
The new techniques included the following: new central heating system, new ventilation system with heat recovery in all rooms, new plumbing, all service departments equipped with a rainwater recuperation system, extensive data & telephone network, CCTV, audio facilities and finally ecological lighting. A new high tension cabin was also was necessary to install due to all of the required electrical changes and needs.

Not only is the theater is equipped with the necessary theater technology, but also technology for the hearing impaired, thus increasing accessibility for all citizens to benefit from a presentation or performance. The building is also equipped with various lifts to enable vertical transport to all offices and multipurpose rooms.
