Project description:

‘Ter Kerselaere’ is a residential care center in Heist-op-den-Berg that recently was expanded with 36 assisted living units, called “The Village”.

The assisted living houses offer all the comfort to be able to live independently and the residents can enjoy the services they prefer according to their own needs. The one and two-room flats have a living room, kitchenette, bathroom with walk-in shower and storage room.

The rooms are equipped with a nurse call system that is in contact with the residential care center in order to provide the necessary care to the residents. The communal toilets are connected to rainwater recovery and a satellite station produces the domestic hot water.

The building is equipped with a type D ventilation system with heat recovery, both for the rooms as for the common areas. Central heat production is done by 2 gas condensing boilers installed in the basement.
