Sustainable Features
CEPOS (Center for Epilepsy and Psycho-Organic Disorders) located in Duffel Belgium, provides assistance to people with non-congenital brain injury, epilepsy or sleep disorders.
CEPOS belongs to Emmaus VZW and is connected to the psychiatric hospital Sint-Norbertushuis
Along the side of the renovated psychiatric center was a new extension added on. This building has several patient consultation rooms as well as additional offices, meeting rooms and an auditorium.
The façades of the new building are constructed on the basis of curtain walls.
The climate of the building is controlled by concrete core activation in combination with convectors and demand-controlled ventilation.
